REDISCOVERING YOURSELF: HAVE YOU LOST YOU?

In life, we may experience abuse, emptiness, burnout, or brokenness that leaves us feeling we have lost a sense of self.  There are signs you may be out of touch with yourself. 

 Here are 5 indicators that YOU HAVE LOST YOU:

  

  • More emphasis is placed on pleasing and “fixing” others than on your happiness.

 

  • Relational compromise is more of a tendency for you than exhibiting a strong stance on personal opinions, needs, and desires.

 

  • Saying “yes” to avoid adverse reactions is a norm for you rather than an occasional exception.

 

  • Your days start and end with a sense of hopelessness and lack of purpose.

 

  • Imagining a bright, promising future is a struggle for you—almost impossible.

 

If one or more of these indicators describes you, it is quite possible that you misplaced your sense of self.  Go to the nearest mirror and start to REDISCOVER YOURSELF.  Make the declaration: “I am important, valuable, and beautiful… IT’S OK TO BE ME!”
