Step Three: The After Care Program

TTF offers a holistic program designed to meet spiritual, emotional and practical needs including: practical life-skills workshops on financial management, nutrition, parenting, computer training, and access to referral networks for housing, childcare and employment assistance.
Graduate groups are also available to provide ongoing accountability, support, encouragement and reinforcement of the tools discovered during the 9-week course.

OUR FOUNDER

Time To Fly Foundation (TTF) was founded in December 2001. It was birthed from the recognition of a dramatic need seen by Michele Jones. After 20 years as a professional in Corporate America, she retired to devote efforts to the vision and development of Time To Fly Foundation.

While volunteering at domestic violence shelters Ms. Jones realized 2 areas of need women still face.
Michele Ruth Jones

During your stay in shelters, external wounds heal; yet the inflicted "unseen" wounds of emotional damage, broken spirits and heart can last a life-time unless they are addressed.
Due to limited space and funding, shelters are primarily equipped to aid only woman who endure physical abuse. What happens to the other 25% of women who endure emotional, verbal and psychological abuse? Sadly, they suffer in silence as the internal devastation deepens; yet they have no "proof" to offer. In reality, each of these women is the "walking wounded" of our time.
In a supportive, non-judgmental/caring environment, the TTF program offers restoration to the three dimensions of a woman's life: her body, her soul and her spirit. TTF is a single source training provider in rebuilding abused women's' lives.

Michele is well aware of the unique needs of hurting women and their need for effective tools to take them forward into a victorious life!

Her background includes designing training programs, committee chairperson on civic and professional associations, Women's Ministry Coordinator for past 19 years, County Women's Shelter Volunteer, member of Fairfax County DV Taskforce and an appointee to the Fairfax County Commission For Women.

Having personally experienced the effects of marital abuse; she triumphantly received healing, hope and restoration through the unconditional love and transforming power of Jesus Christ.

She is the author of "Your Call To Freedom! (An Interactive Guidebook with Bible Based Tools To Heal From An Abusive Relationship)" and a requested speaker at various family and women's forums.
